FINCH II

This poor sap is plagued by the long shadow of his father, apparently a great king, whose enormous portrait presides over the palatial drawing room. Finch II doesn’t have the right stuff to be king and the job is just too much for him. His deceased forebear’s crown constantly slips down over his eyes. Every so often his pride shines through and he tries to flaunt his status but it’s hard for anyone to take him seriously.

Only his passion for astronomy can contain his frustration. He spends his free time, which is practically all of it, gazing at the stars and planets from his watchtower on the palace balcony. It is there that he finds the freedom he lacks in real life, dreaming about faraway stars or imagining himself taking a stroll on the Moon .
